I was born and raised in Queens, NY, and am a first-generation Irish American. I ate food from all over the world because most of my friends were first-generation or immigrants themselves. I always cooked with my dad, and after losing him at the age of 13, I knew how important cooking together was.

I created Not Ya Mama's Cooking to encourage people to value their loved ones while they're here, to celebrate immigrants and their children, and to appreciate culture.
