Love the classic good vs. evil story, but tired of the same old vampire and werewolve feuds or schools for magical kids? Well, here's a new twist to the classic theme of a heroine reaching out to save the world while battling her own internal demons.

The Crescent Stone
a novel by Grace McNally
Taylor wishes for nothing more than to run away from her backwoods town and free herself from the controlling grasps of her constantly changing foster parents, until the unexpected discovery of a mysterious stone, makes her wish she could have her old life back.
After moving across the country, to a new home, and loving Grandparents, she finds herself with mysterious powers, ones which the stone has given her, and pinned in a battle between a power-hungry, war-mongering Major, and a cold, distant Professor with his alienated gargoyle orphans.
Struggling with her own morality, Taylor, unknowingly, must decide the fate of mankind.

Release date set for July 8th

Chapter I: Lake Crescent

Taylor shuddered, as she felt all the living cells in her body scream in response to the chill of the glacier water. She had to think, before panic instinctively took over her body. Which way was up, she wondered, waiting in the cold dim water, until her body finally began rising in the direction of the surface.

She began frantically swimming for the surface, peering through the dimly lit water for signs of the shore, always in the back of her mind praying that she didn't run out of air before reaching it.

And there it was. . .

I'm a stay at home mom with one daughter and a little son on the way, he'll be here by the fall. I love to read and enjoy watching movies. I have all sorts of crazy dreams and remember almost all of them which led me to writing about them. I think people will really enjoy my imagination as I do, and hopefully everyone will love my twist on gargoyles.

Future Projects:

The Fallen Child: It's the second in The Crescent Stone series, currently under construction.

He screamed, “Get out. . . out. . .” and his voice trailed off as it entered into his eyes, burning a hole into his soul and then it continued to slither down and around his wrenching body. Although no one could see any visible sign of damage to Will, it felt as though the snake was searing and melting his skin as it wrapped tightly around his body. He fought the invisible snake with every last ounce of energy, until he felt the end, and then a voice spoke to him as clear as day.
